Ajabu
Ajabu is 10. His parents were assassinated by bandits in Munganga, North Kivu Province of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Gloria
Gloria is 15 years Old. Her parents were burnt alive by a group of rebels in Oicha, North Kivu Province, in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Muhindo
Muhindo’s parents were slaughtered, among many others, in Oicha, North Kivu Province, in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Washikala
Washikala is 15 years old. She lost her parents during an attack on her village in South Kivu Province in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Jael
Jael is 10 years old. Her widowed mother had no job, education, or resources to support her family after his father’s death.
Safari
Safari is 14 years Old. His father died from the bullets during the war, and his mother became mentally ill, ran away from home, and left him alone.
Ephraim
Ephraim was found alone, as a very young boy, on the street after an attack in their village. He does not know his parents.
Kavira
Kavira is in Year 5 at Mundumbiena Primary School. Both of his parents were killed during the war, leaving him without family support.
